How to measure your dog.

Before you place an order, make sure the product you would like to buy is suitable for the size and breed of your dog.

Below are some tips and tricks on how to measure your dog for the product you’d like to order. Some styles of collars are more suitable for certain breeds than they are for others, so if you have any questions on what is the right collar for your breed, drop us a question before you place an order and we’ll try our best to help you.

The Martingale

A martingale collar is made from 2 loops, the main loop and a control loop. They’re ideal for sighthounds and/or escape artists and can be a great tool to help with walking and lead training.

To measure your dog for a martingale collar start by measuring the largest part of their head, this is usually just above or behind their ears. We do this to ensure that the collar will fit over their head as this style does not come with a buckle.

Then take a second measurement, this is where you would like them to wear the collar. The collars are adjustable, but we suggest sizing up if your measurements are towards the maximum adjustment size.

Make sure the collar adjusts wide enough too easily get over your dog’s head both to put on and take off, whilst also sits comfortably when worn.

To measure your dog’s neck, use an existing buckle collar, tape measure or just use a piece of string. Place two fingers between your dog’s neck and whatever you’re using to measure with, and take your measurement in either inches or cm.

The collars are adjustable, be we suggest sizing up if your measurements are towards the maximum adjustment size.
